This assignment was called Digital Storytelling. It is used to create short films in order to give presentations to your class.
I found it extremely easy to use. Although there are several programs out there, I decided to use iMovie. It was very user friendly. I was able to combine images and information that I gathered from the internet into a cohesive film demonstrating the history and the form of haiku.
I intend to use this form of technology quite often in my classroom, because it is more interactive and engaging than merely reading from a textbook. I would recommend this technology to any teacher...not only can they use this as a tool to instruct, but it would be beneficial for the students to also learn how to create a digital story project. Then they would have the skill to use this tool for presentations in other and future courses.
